What are we?
We are a cargo bike delivery collective. We have our headquarter in Berlin-Pankow (13156) and work all over Berlin to offer punctual and precise deliveries.
Our fleet is currently composed of Five Cargo Bikes, with a variable capacity from 50 to 150 kilos and a range of 20 to 30 kilometres for each tour.
We value fairness and solidarity among workers. We are a Workers-owned business and a collective, in which all the workers (independently from their status within the company) are involved in the decisional process of the company itself. Workers are paid for the deliveries they make, and all the work “behind the scene” is done spontaneously by us workers in order to keep the company going.
We all value our free time as much as we value our work, and the concept we have is to tailor our job on our life rather than the other way around. And this doesn’t diminish the quality of our work, in fact it makes it better. This doesn’t mean it doesn’t pose challenges, but we so far have been able to overtake them collectively.
What do we like?
We are all passionate bike riders and strongly believe in what we do.
All of us have many years of experience in the delivery and logistic field, we met each other by working in other delivery companies and had the idea of creating something different.The decision of using only (E)-bikes has a goal to use our passion for bikes, and to do something for the planet (even if a little thing, actions count).
At the same time, not only the climate is important. Workers’ well-being, and mental and physical health is very important for us. And to give agency to the workers, through a collective decisional process, is for us something to be proud of.
What do we want?
We are still a small company, currently working with Brodowin to deliver Bio-boxes door to door. Beside that, we work with Berlin based cooks by taking care of their logistic needs in terms of deliveries to customers.
At the moment all the 7 people involved in the project come from outside of Germany, from both European and non-European countries. Talking in German is not a challenge though.
